We had the absolute pleasure of hosting a truly special evening at the stunning Bebeโ€™s Country Weddingsย in Crossdale โ€” and what a view to go with the conversation!

A heartfelt thank you to our keynote guest Hon. Deb Frecklington MP, QLD Attorney-General, for her reflections on community safety, crime prevention, and how small businesses can benefit from the โ€œSmall and Friendly Businessโ€ trainee grants. ๐Ÿ‘

Our own Mayor Jason Wendtย shared powerful insights into Councilโ€™s strategic work connecting Somerset to key decision makers, while the team from SEQ Waterย gave us a fantastic update on the Somerset Dam Upgrade and the legacy opportunities it presents for local economic development.

We were honoured to have Joe Proctor from the QLD Small Business Concierge, local councillors Helen Brieschke, Tiara Hurley, and Sally Jess, as well as representatives from RDAIWM, Powerlink, and many of our passionate Somerset business community members there with us.

๐ŸŽค With a cheeky hot-mic cameo from Minister Minnikin, heartfelt acknowledgements from Chamber President Lee Robinson, and generous support from our sponsors โ€” it was an evening full of purpose, connection, and community spirit.

๐ŸŽฅ Big thanks to our member Jim Filmer โ€“ Filmatographyย for capturing the evening. Catch his work now on display at the Kilcoy Information Centre โ€“ until Sunday!

๐Ÿ’ผ Events like this happen thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, and most importantly โ€” our members. If you believe in the power of local business, join us. Your voice matters.
