Somerset Business Chamber Thanks Local News Outlets for Ongoing Support

The Somerset Business Chamber extends its heartfelt appreciation to local news outlets *The Lockyer Somerset Independent* and *The Sentinel* for their continued support of community events that benefit local businesses. These publications have been instrumental in promoting the Chamber's initiatives, and their coverage plays a crucial role in helping keep Somerset's business community informed and connected.

One such event, the *Evening with the Queensland Small Business Commissioner*, is just around the corner. On November 20, 2024, from 6:00 PM, the Chamber invites Somerset businesses to join a unique and valuable gathering at the Picnic Society in Toogoolawah. This exclusive event promises to be an excellent opportunity for business owners to engage directly with the Queensland Small Business Commissioner, who will address the common challenges facing the local business community and share vital insights into the future of small business support.

The event will also shed light on the Small Business Friendly Charter, a significant initiative designed to improve the environment for small businesses. Attendees will have the chance to hear about the ongoing efforts Councils have implemented under this Charter, which aims to create more supportive and sustainable business environments across Queensland.

The Chamber encourages all local businesses to take advantage of this opportunity to not only hear from the Commissioner but also connect with peers and gain a deeper understanding of the resources available to them. Thanks to *The Lockyer Somerset Independent* and *The Sentinel*, the message of this event and its value for local businesses has been amplified, helping to ensure a strong turnout and continued collaboration within the region's business network.

"We’re incredibly grateful for the role these local outlets play in supporting the Somerset Business Chamber and our events," said a Chamber spokesperson. "Their coverage of events like the Queensland Small Business Commissioner Dinner helps to ensure our local business owners are well-informed and able to take advantage of opportunities to grow and thrive."

Somerset businesses are warmly invited to attend the *Evening with the Queensland Small Business Commissioner*, as it represents a rare chance to hear first-hand from one of the state's most important advocates for small business. This event promises to be a highlight for the community and another step toward strengthening Somerset’s economy and business landscape.
